Egyptian state-run Nile TV reported that 235 people were killed and another 109 were injured in the attack, According to CNN.

Egyptian state news agency MENA updated the death toll in the Sinai mosque attack to 200, with 130 wounded, according to the Associated Press.
Over 150 people were killed on Friday in an attack on a mosque in Egypt’s North Sinai region that left at least another 120 injured.
According to reports, attackers set off a bomb while others waiting outside opened fire on people as they fled Friday prayers.
Egyptian health ministry spokesman Khalid Mujahid called the incident a “terrorist attack” while speaking to Masriya TV.
A local resident whose relatives were at the scene told Reuters, “They were shooting at people as they left the mosque. They were shooting at the ambulances too.”
While no group has claimed responsibility for the assault, the attack took place in a region recently embattled with ISIS attacks that have killed hundreds of police and soldiers. ISIS has claimed responsibility for attacks in the area in the past.
Gunmen killed 29 in an attack on a group traveling to a monastery in southern Egypt back in May.
